UI/UX Designer (Full-time or Contractor)

We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team as a contractor to help throughout the lifecycle of our product development process. We are a full-service blockchain consultation firm. We discover, define, design and develop blockchain applications for our clients. Our mission is to introduce the world to intuitive, cutting-edge, and innovative blockchain solutions and help all of our clients achieve their goals—your role will integrate directly with our existing product team, supporting every part of the project cycle (user research, experience maps, UX + UI in responsive prototypes, front-end reviews + QA, etc). As you grow into the role, you’ll own client-facing deliverables from start to finish.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Adaptability. Every good designer has their own style, but great designers are able to mimic their client's creative/branding to deliver something that satisfies the brief, and their own aesthetic.

• Curiosity. Ability to decipher and translate user data, analytics, and environment/tech restrictions into creative solutions.

• Knowledgeable. Having a knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, and CMS environments informs (but does not stifle) your design approach

• Cross-Functional. Must be able to work collaboratively in a team, our communication structure is flat. We’re in an emerging field and it’s important to learn from each other.

 

Requirements:

 

• Eligible to work in the US

• Have 3-5 years experience working as a digital designer

• Have an online portfolio that we can review

• Strong ability to communicate your UX concepts to others by sketching, wireframing, and/or creating mockups

• Design for all devices, not just desktop or phones. Most of our clients are looking for responsive designs across all devices and platforms.

• Know the Adobe Suite inside and out

  • Experience with Sketch a plus

• Understand HTML, CSS, JS, and CMS environments.

• Understand SEO conceptually (if you understand markup and architecture, all the better)

• Have used web-based productivity tools like Slack, Basecamp, JIRA, Asana, etc.

• Lead by example, and generally have a good attitude

• Excitement about blockchain and the capabilities and applications of the technology is a big plus
